The next chapter

Welcome to my next chapter, or should I say the 'sequel', to the 50 Shades of DC adventure. For those of you who followed the 50 Shades blog, thank you for joining me again. For those new readers, you may wish to browse the 50 Shades of DC blog by clicking on the link on the left of your screen. I created this new blog, Props and Tongs, to continue my adventures and exploits on my return to Australia (after living the previous 3 years in Washington DC, USA). Many followers were keen to hear more of my adventures - not sure why, it's something I'm still perplexed with. But anyway, I thought I would give it a go and and see how things roll. 

You are no doubt wondering what the heck does Props and Tongs mean? In this day of social media, trying to think of unique and catchy account names is harder than playing scrabble with half the letters. I recently found Instagram and it took me an hour to create an account name that wasn't already taken. Eventually my guesses got more strange and ridiculous and eventually, Props and Tongs was available. Bingo, that will bloody do. So while I have an Instagram account, I don't post there, I just stalk food sites so don't look for me there. I'm and old dog so I can't manage too many new tricks in this social media age. When faced with the task of deciding on a new blog name, my head hurt from the Instagram memories and I took the easy way out and used the Props and Tongs name again. It does have relevance as my new life involves propellors and tongs. I plan to continue flying and get my Private Pilot license in Australia and, I am starting a new career by going to school (TAFE college) and studying to be a chef. So, props and tongs pretty much sums up me at the moment.
